Liquor business in Nepal

The higher amount of alcohol consumption is detrimental to health, but if we are ignoring the cynical side of it and drinking it for pleasure, then why not trying our own Nepali brands from the local level instead of foreign brands. Doing so will promote our cultural, traditional, and classical methods of producing alcohol at home. Leaving cultural and traditional factors aside, liquor produce at home is far more cheaper than foreign liquor. Not only from a price perspective, but also in taste varieties, we are quit rich. Consumer can choose among different varieties of liquor that are made in Nepal, like liquor from rice, maize, wheat, guava, pears, apple, grapes, and millet, etc.
Coming to this day, people who are engaged in producing alcohol in Nepal are diminishing in number cause consumers are substituting the home products with international brands. Not only that, but even the government focused on boycotting local liquor by destroying it. These steps from the government discouraged producers from home country and encouraged foreign producers to supply more of its products in our markets. In the long run, this will hamper the national economy. So, the government should not overlook the negative aspects of foreign brands circulating in our nation.
The government should bring the policy to boycott or band international products here in Nepal to protect and promote local brands and concentrate on the way for shipping local brands in overseas markets. These steps from the government also reinforced the old and new makers from the local level to produce the liquor of prime quality and immense quantity. If everything administers correctly, the liquor business has an immeasurable future in Nepal.
Through proper research and development work, if the government takes the right steps at the right time, this will help in minimizing the trade deficit that we have faced for many decades somehow and also help in dragging Nepal’s economy towards a better situation.
